Smt. Vidyavati M. Kotturshettar graduated from J.S.S Law College law at Mysore and went on to practice Law in the Chambers of Sri. Jaykumar S. Patil designated Senior Advocate, High Court of Karnataka, Bengaluru from 1994 to 2008.

Smt. Vidyavati M. Kotturshettar was appointed as Additional Government Advocate 2008 and rendered services as Additional Government Advocate before the Hon’ble High Court of Karnataka, Dharwad Bench and Bengaluru Bench up to the year 2017. She was also the standing Counsel for “State Election Commission”.

Smt. Vidyavati M. Kotturshettar in the course of her practice and her stint as the Additional Advocate General has appeared in the Writ proceedings and cases involving questions arising from the Constitution of India, Karnataka Land Revenue Act, Karnataka Land Reforms Act, Karnataka Co-operative Societies Act, Karnataka Municipalities Act, Taxation Act, Service, Jurisdiction, Labour, APMC, Education Act, Arbitration Act, Civil Appeals, Criminal Petition, Wakf Matters, MFA and RFA Etc.

Smt. Vidyavati M. Kotturshettar was appointed as an Additional Advocate General is representing State of Karnataka from 07.08.2019 and as representing and advising State of Karnataka as on the date.
